Product description⌄
The Spyder Checkr features 48 spectrally engineered color patches that include the standard 24 sRGB color space, plus expanded reference color patches and targets for skin tones. Use the Spyder Checkr color target card as a color reference in your shoot, and the Spyder Checkr software will automatically correct the color of your images via an HSL preset in Adobe Lightroom Classic®, Adobe Camera RAW®, or Hasselblad Phocus® for seamless color correction. The Spyder Checkr calibration software analyzes the results of your reference photo and immediately creates an HSL preset, which you then apply to your workflow in Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Camera RAW, or Hasselblad Phocus, for color correction.
The Spyder Checkr includes a powerful color reference target.
The 48 spectrally engineered color patches include the standard 24 sRGB color space plus additional color targets for beautifully accurate skin tones, mid-saturation colors, and near-white and near-black tones, for a wider dynamic range.
Color temperature and exposure can vary from shot to shot and scene to scene. The Spyder Checkr's neutral gray target patch and gray ramp can be used to create better continuity between scenes and cameras. Use the neutral gray patch for in-camera white balance, or use it during editing.
The durable construction with adhesive-backed housing allows for easy transport and field use with the tripod mount.
You can place the Spyder Cube (link to the cube) on top of the Spyder Checkr to use these products in a perfect combination.
Monitor the Spyder Checkr's exposure to light with the light-sensitive Fade Checkr patch to know when it's time for replacement Spyder Checkr cards to ensure continued color accuracy. The Fade Checkr patch is designed to fade from red to yellow after the equivalent of 30 days of full exposure to summer sunlight.
The color target cards are replaceable for continued accuracy over time, cost savings, and reduced waste. It's that easy to optimize your workflow.
The Spyder Checkr helps you improve your post-production workflow by ensuring color accuracy and consistency from the very first shot. Simply take a reference photo of the Spyder Checkr, import the image into your editing software (Adobe Lightroom Classic®, Adobe Camera RAW®, or Hasselblad Phocus®), open the image in the Spyder Checkr software, and export the HSL preset. You can apply this preset to a single image or to a batch of images.
Why calibrate your camera?
Cameras can differ in how they capture color. Achieving accurate, consistent color from scene colors to captured colors can be difficult and time-consuming. The Spyder Checkr 24 provides extremely accurate HSL color corrections for your camera, ensuring color accuracy and consistency. Color can vary from camera to camera, as well as from manufacturer to manufacturer, so getting accurate, consistent color from multiple cameras for a single project complicates your workflow — but the easy-to-use Spyder Checkr 24 lets you calibrate all your cameras, so camera-to-camera matching, accuracy, and printability become easy. Color can also vary from lens to lens attached to the same camera body. The quick and easy-to-use Spyder Checkr 24 lets you calibrate all of your camera's lens combinations, so you get accurate color across all your lenses. Color temperature and exposure can vary from shot to shot, as well as from scene to scene, which can lead to inaccurate, inconsistent scene data across all your shots. The Spyder Checkr 24 makes it easy to eliminate these issues with a neutral gray patch and a gray-ramp reference on the back, which you can use for adjusting camera settings, as well as for post-production checks during editing.
