How we grade

Four independent dimensions — each assessed separately before the final Grade is assigned.

1

Cosmetic condition

We inspect the frame, back, and sides under high-intensity lighting. We record every scratch, dent, scuff, or deformation — its size, location, and visibility at a normal viewing distance (~50cm).

2

Screen condition

The screen is assessed separately. We check for dead pixels, burn-in, delamination, scratches, and keycap marks. We test against white, black, and colored backgrounds, at different angles.

3

Battery

For iPhone we measure Battery Health via iOS. For MacBook we record charge cycles and capacity. Each Grade corresponds to a minimum health percentage we guarantee.

4

Functionality

We run full diagnostics: Touch ID / Face ID, cameras, microphone, speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, sensors, buttons, ports, charging. No device is sold if it fails any of these checks.

Frequently asked questions

Are Grade A+ and A very different?

In practice, barely. Grade A+ is essentially indistinguishable from new. Grade A carries very minor marks visible only under specific lighting and angles. Both are excellent choices.

Do you sell Grade D or devices that don't turn on?

No. At flip2store we only sell fully functional Grade A+, A, and B devices. In exceptional cases, Grade C, always clearly stated in the listing.

How do I know which Grade the device I'm buying is?

It's clearly stated on every product listing. We also include a detailed description of the condition, so you know exactly what you're getting.

What if the device doesn't match the Grade I bought?

14-day no-questions-asked right of return. If the device doesn't match its description, we fully cover the return shipping.
